Instead of declaring secession and leading his allies to slaughter, Fen remained Duke of Tyrrendor and quietly built a hidden resistance under Navarre’s nose. Brennan Sorrengail defected under cover of his posting in Tyrrendor and became one of Fen’s lieutenants, while Xaden Riorson rose to Wingleader at Basgiath as part of the covert network.
Because Fen chose secrecy over secession, the rebellion was never crushed, and there are no “marked” children branded as traitors.
