Tim is the only one consistently watching. Thus he’s the first and only one to notice one more body following the streets like the bats do. A kid with all black hair and white motifs and an attitude problem that reminds him a tad too much of Jason. It was a shame Jason was adamant that he “didn’t know anything”, what a liar right?
But the streets of Gotham listened and the name on everyone’s lips playing like a discordant harmony was one word: Distortion. Not that Tim knew what it meant yet, but Danny would make sure he would. If Danny lived long enough for Tim to find out.

"There, there," Joker hushed softly, brushing the hair from his face so he could better see his son. "You're perfectly safe Jay."He was only three years older than he was when he ran away from home, but he looked so much more mature. So much wiser and stronger. It was a shame that of all the people his little boy could run to, he had to choose Batman. He could admit that it was a sore subject between them. It was, after all, a bitter pill for him to swallow— watching as his only child chose his sworn enemy as his idol.
Still, he persisted, letting him live with Bruce Wayne and run around with Batman, watching and waiting for the day when Jason would get bored the way he always did and come running home. But that day hadn't come yet, and he was getting a little impatient. He missed his son.
"Safe," Jason scoffed, bringing his head back forward to look at his father's pasty white skin and his bright smile. "This is child abuse," he stated. "You know that, right?"
"No," his father responded, repeating the word a few more times as he shook his head. "No, no, no. I would never hurt you."

The only thing particularly out of place about this nonsensical sentence making its way across the bat channel is that it sounds a lot like Jason said it…when he’s absolutely certain he hadn’t opened his mouth. Not-Jason is answered a moment later.
“Hood, status,” Red Robin says.
“Are you on the scene?” Oracle.
“Orange pajamas…I will pay you money to say that in front of Slade,” Nightwing.
“Don’t be a child, Nightwing,” Robin.
“Pot, kettle, Robin,” Nightwing says again.
“Fuckin’ twilight zone,” Not-Jason says before there’s a beep informing them that his com has been deactivated.

“What am I missing?” Jason asked, his brow furrowing and letting annoyance creep into his tone. He didn’t care for his father’s mind games.
“Jay, lad,” Bruce began, quietly, and Jason wanted nothing more than for his father to just spit it out. His hand twitched, as though he wanted to take Jason’s, or maybe put a reassuring hand on his shoulder like he used to. He didn’t.
Jason wasn’t sure whether he was glad or disappointed.
“What?” He exclaimed with a huff, falling back onto his pillow to glare at the ceiling. “It can’t be that bad.”
The silence that followed only served to unsettle him more.
“When you were injured, it was as a civilian.”
Or alternatively; Jason wakes up in the hospital after an accident, the doctors have identified him as the long lost son of Bruce Wayne, and he's forced to not only figure out how to navigate his (very public) personal life, but also the broken relationship with his father.

The bleeding had slowed, so no vital points were hit. You weren't able to treat it properly with his top on, not bothering to use the scissors to try to cut the fabric. Was it even fabric. By the feel under your fingertips, it was a mix of; cotton, metal and something plasticity. ||
When a masked vigilantly breaks into your home bleeding out, who could have thought that would send your life swerving off. Everyone in a mile radius. Even you did.
