A kid.
No, not quite a kid—seventeen, maybe eighteen. Black hair matted to his forehead, one hand gripping his throat, the other trembling as it tried to apply pressure to a vicious wound slicing across his neck. Blood soaked his jacket, pooling beneath him.
Bucky dropped to a knee beside him without hesitation.

It feels fucking stupid, now. To place faith in someone who never gave a shit about him in the first place. Bruce didn't care when he was dying. God didn't. No matter how hard he prayed, how much he begged. For either-for anyone. Death followed. Even that was stripped from him.
And still, still, he's here. Sitting in a pew, with a prayer on his lips and a plea for forgiveness, he's here.
Still, he seeks forgiveness from a God he doesn't even truly believe in. He places blame and seeks reconciliation all the same.

Roy had thought saving Jason from Bruce would have been the worst of it, sure he’d expected him to be a bit more moody, maybe even hostile. But this, was something not even he could have predicted. He doesn't know exactly what happened during the fight to have crushed Jason like this, but something was wrong, because in all Roy’s years of knowing the second boy wonder and the deadly red hood, he was never quiet. Taunting had always seemed to be his first coping mechanism, and if that didn't work then it was words that cut clean through your psych and managed to sit under your bones for weeks afterward. But as he glances at Jason who still lies in bed, messy black and white curls splayed across his face and eyes green and vacant. He can't help but wonder what Bruce had done, that finally tipped Jason over the edge.

It was sick and he couldn't stand it anymore. He was going to scare the bat, so badly he’d finally realize that this was sick and would stop letting children wear that stupid mask. No matter what he wasn't gonna stop until Batman admits he is a shitty excuse of a hero and finally does some real justice. Jason knew what needed to be done but he wasn't thrilled to do it, still he was going to despite everything he stood for.
