Summary
The Secret Ninja Force has one rule: they may never reveal their secret identities to anyone. Not even to each other.
The morning after a Garmadon attack, Lloyd lets himself get kidnapped in a bid to prove his innocence. His plan goes awry when he learns of the kidnappers’ true intentions: if Garmadon does not surrender in seven days, they will take Lloyd’s life as forfeit.
Shortly after Lloyd is kidnapped, the Green Ninja disappears, too. The Secret Ninja Force is launched into chaos as they struggle to choose between rescuing Lloyd and looking for their missing teammate.
The clock is ticking. And things are about to get very, very messy.

The announcement spread like wildfire, each repetition driving the message deeper into the air. The governor’s face was steady, composed, but his words carried a sharp finality that left no room for negotiation.
The ninja weren't watching it from the comfort of the monastery. They were still shaken, still trying to piece together what had just happened.

Lloyd points to the little girl with pink hair. “This one fell out of a portal.” He points to the little boy in the orange hoodie. “This one came up to me and told me about how his foster family is really abusive. I'm adopting them both and you can't stop me!” Lloyd hands the kids their sandwiches, pours two glasses of water for them, and walks out of the room with the kids trailing behind.

When they help a young boy named Lloyd they find alone in the middle of the night, Heidi and Brett Cop are pushed into the Master Builder underground, where they attempt to uncover the truth about their sons' job with President Business.
An AU that assumes a number of things: that the LEGO Movies all take place in the same universe, that they were released in chronological order, and that that would make Lloyd "Green Ninja" Garmadon twelve or so years old in his appearance in the LEGO Movie. Then I stuck the cops' parents in there because I have no self control.
