Chris was smiling supportively at her, and Ginny tried her best to reciprocate it. After a moment, she once again groaned, (keep in mind that this was her third time doing so since they started talking about this guy) and said, “I wish I knew how to kiss.”
With a pondering stare, Chris watched Ginny for a beat before her eyes widened the tiniest bit, something that indicated she had an idea. “I could show you.”
Thick silence fell after the suggestion, and Ginny searched for any signs indicating this was real life and not a dream. Ginny was not going to lie nor deny it; sometimes, when the walls were extra thin and she listened in on Chet’s and Chris’ conversations, as she imagined herself in Chet’s place, she would imagine scooching closer and placing a kiss on Chris’ pink and presumably soft lips.
Ginny was too scared to respond, terrified she had misheard Chris’ suggestion or misunderstood that she had been joking. Thankfully, Chris clarified both of Ginny’s fears, “Show you how to kiss, that is.” sounding entirely genuine.
