Helping a friend and ex- soldier in need was not unknown to happen. Allowing oneself to finally fall in love with him rarely did in the Captains world but here he is.
God knows how this will go. Modern AU. Twist on the characters and their relationships to one another. Set ‘up north’. Maybe 5 chapters – we’ll see – don’t expect daily updates I’m notoriously bad at this stuff.

He is standing at the corner of this side of the field, stiff as a board, or rather, as straight as his stick, now clutched under his arm. If Kitty’s not mistaken, his gaze is truly directed towards her and the flowers decorating the grass so charmingly, completing it even.
“Hello!” she almost yells, waving at him, and he looks around before he makes a few hesitant steps forward. “You like bluebells, don’t you?” she hurriedly adds, forgetting about that mini story being a part of what upset him the last time.
