Summary
In the middle of a stormy night where the sky itself seems to be set on ripping the world apart, a young knight in training named Link is woken up by a desperate call from Zelda, the Princess of Hyrule. She’s trapped in the dungeon of the castle and she needs help.
Link’s uncle and only parental figure leaves with an order for his nephew to stay home, but Link can’t help himself when his beloved Princess, the unknowing recipient of his undying love, is calling out for help.
He rushes out into the night and unto his destiny as the Hero of Legends.
A Link to the Past novelization with some liberties to allow for Zelda to have a more active role and to incorporate some elements that hadn’t been introduced to the Zelda lore yet back when the game was released.

他叹了口气，知道自己永远不会得到回答。但只要他假装得够久，等得够久，他就能假装自己正在和叔叔交谈，尽管这只是场独角戏。

“Hey, Uncle” said Link, now going by the nickname Legend. When you travel with eight other people, who share the same name with you, there’s gonna be a need for a nicknames to derifience between them. But there are no such needs for nicknames with relatives. Even, when said relatives were long dead and only their skeletons remain anymore.
Legend’s expression dropped, the small smile as a greeting disappering from his faces and replacing it, with a sad and tired expression. Like he was carrying the weight of a whole world. He kinda was, but that was a different kind of weight.
He sigh, knowing that he was never going to get an answer. But if he pretended long enough, waited long enough for a response, he could pretend that he was having a conversation with his uncle, despite being one sided.

Legend’s doing drugs, Wild’s breaking out, Wind is being a menace to society, Twilight’s a runaway, Wars is trying to NOT get fired because for some reason he keeps having to abuse his job to keep his ‘brothers’ out of jail, Hyrule is trying to- actually nobody is really sure what he’s up to, Four is going to crash out because “Why is everybody’s car breaking down???”, Sky is on the verge of a mental breakdown, and Time? Well, let’s say Time is pretty busy dealing with all of the above.
This is a Link’s Meet Linked Universe modern AU where Time ends up as a Father of eight. Little does he know the amount of trauma that comes with raising spirited boys, each coming with their own personal baggage, struggles, and personalities.

Just as Legend’s lungs felt as if they were about to burst, his head finally broke the water. He gasped and spluttered trying to get a breath of air. He searched frantically for the ship, but he was surrounded by roiling waves cresting and foaming around him, their forms and shadows revealed by bursts of lightning.
Legend gets swept out to sea in Wind's world. Now he must survive the storm and the monsters of Wind's world as a mer, unarmed and with no items.
