Summary
Starbreaker is an obscure villain from DC Comics and a long-time nemesis of the Justice League. According to his bio, he is a cosmic vampire that is billions of years old, but even more interestingly, he is a being with a connection to the Sun-Eaters of DC lore.
For this design, I tried to be as faithful as I could to the original by preserving the Dracula-esque high collar and cape, although I made some slight adjustments to give it a more organic and kind of alien look. Australian frilled lizards, Venus flytraps and cobras were referenced in some aspects, although I kind of wanted to give it a creepier twist, like the collar itself is a "mouth" with teeth and eyes. I also tried to keep the eight-pointed star on his chest as well since that is his most distinctive feature, although I tried using some pngs of stars and nebulas for the cape.
The cape itself is actually a series of tentacles that merge together, but when push comes to shove and he needs to go on the offensive, the cape would split apart. For those of you wondering why his face isn't red like in the comics, let's say that there is a story reason for that. ;D I hope you like what I have in store for ol' Starbreaker!- Language:
