    Despite not knowing what future laid ahead of him, Ray felt wrong as he took in his scenery. Somehow, he knew that Norman was dead. He knew Emma’s leg was broken. He knew why he was in here as well, though that part was expected. He had spent six years planning this after all.
    Ray looked to his right, taking in a dozen canisters of oil that had yet to be put to use, at the single match in its box just waiting to be struck. He looked at the clock on the far wall, jumping slightly when it loudly struck midnight.
    He looked back down at himself, now covered in oil, somehow. The soaked kid looked to the right once more, seeing the canisters gone from the table. His head whipped to the left, and Ray could see that they were all across the room now, tipped over as the last few drops of oil slipped out of them.
    He felt oil slip from his hair to his face to the numbers that tainted his throat as he started to cry, though he didn't understand why he was so upset. He had been looking forward to this for six years. So why did it feel so empty?
