Summary

This story follows the anime canon very closely, of course with our own flavor on how we imagine things happaned inside poor Oikawa's head.
We also see Oikawa being very much in love with Hida Hiroki, and have added our own headcanons to their backstory. -

Me and my partner decided to revisit a childhood show of ours, which we have generally good memories of, but the memories have become hazy after 20 years.
We fell in love with the series all over again (recently watched Ghost Game too) and Arukenimon and Mummymon just spoke to us very differently now that we are on our 30s vs as a kid.
BUT OH BOY we got so disappointed over the last 3 episodes that, powered by raw spite, we decided to write these two a happy ending.Enjoy lol

Taking cues from Dragon Ball Z Kai, Digimon Fusion Kai is a retelling of my classic Digimon Fusion series I wrote in the early 2000s. It begins with the arrival of a digital invader and expands adventures beyond the Digital World. Join Tai, Agumon, the Chosen, and a group of warriors on this epic journey across time and space, which involve powerful Digimon, aliens, androids, and a plethora of other evil forces.
Special Not: This is not a fanfic about the Digimon Xros Wars/Digimon Fusion series. This fanfic adapts the Saiyan, Namek, Cell, and Buu arcs. The Buu arc adaptation (D-Reaper's Fury) features a crossover with the Tamers and the Legendary Warriors.

Over a year and a half since the D-Reaper's defeat, Tai, the Digidestined, and their Ascendant friends settle into a time of peace. However, that peacetime has been shattered as new challenges and foes escalate in this new age. A Digital God of Destruction wakes up in search of the Ascendant God, which alters the course of our heroes' lives. Other universes and dimensions to other worlds are opened up. Meanwhile, a sinister force is working behind the scenes to wreak chaos in the multiverse.
This is the sequel to Digimon Fusion Kai and my Dragon Ball Super adaptation. I started this in December 2017, beginning with Battle of Digital Gods, and ended it in December 2019. Once caught up with posting these previously written chapters, new arcs/chapters are being planned to be released in 2023, adapting DBS: Broly, Tournament of Power, Moro, Granolah, and Super Hero. Original arcs and one-shots are also planned.
Special Note: This was also written in conjunction with Cross Generations in 2018-2019 but not everything has been borrowed from that story.
