Lex traps Kara in kryptonite restraints and activates the Phantom Zone projector. She’s seconds from being torn out of existence—until Lena steps between them with something she built in secret. The portal collapses. Lena and Lex vanish.
Kara hits the floor gasping, kryptonite still burning under her skin, staring at the empty space where Lena stood. There’s no mistaking what happened: Lena didn’t save the world. She saved Kara.

So, yes. It’s supposed to be quick and straightforward and relatively free of complications because that’s the whole point, after all— getting to a time where things aren’t so rocky and telling Lena the truth doesn’t feel like such an insurmountable task. With Mxy’s help, she’d even thought that it might actually be easy. How was she to know she’d end up in a situation like this?
This time around, things are perfect. Lena is perfect— no she’s more than perfect. Kara honestly can’t have asked for anything better.
Until Lena kisses her. Lena kisses her, and Kara realizes that there are some things that she hadn’t even thought to hope for, not even in her wildest dreams.
And Rao— Kara really needs to re-examine her feelings for her best friend.
AKA, Kara accepts Mxy's offer to help fix reality one last time, creates a world where she has everything she's ever wanted - and kinda, sorta, accidentally ends up falling in love with Lena somewhere along the way. Oops.
