AU: Maddy Perez is the captain of the cheerleading team and is closeted… or something. To be honest Maddy didn’t even know she felt this way towards girls until her and Cassie became lab partners. Cassie Howard plays guitar and is out as sapphic (not out by choice though). Cassie always assumed Maddy was stuck up and mean like the other cheerleaders, but instead she was really sweet and protective of Cassie. Maddy doesn’t know how to control these feelings. Little does she know Cassie has feelings for her too, but won’t make a move since she thinks Maddy is straight.
