Summary
After Nevra offers to have the new guardian serve him while she waits to return to the human realm, she jumps on the chance to keep herself out of the Guard of El. She was hoping for a short, boring stay at Headquarters, cleaning Nevra's chambers and accompanying him to Guard meetings. Nevra, however, has other ideas. Despite her best efforts, her time in Eldarya soon becomes the biggest adventure of her lifetime.

Nevra and Gardi fell in love in TO. After the events of ep 13, their relationship shatters and she eventually ends up falling for Leiftan. Meanwhile, they eventually find a way to restore their friendship and by the time the final battle arrives, it is undeniable how much they care for each other.
That is, until the white sacrifice took place.
Seven years later, Leiftan and Erika make their return. Their relationship hits rock bottom in terms of romance, and Nevra seems to have no regards towards Erika that aren't merely polite or profesional. Amidts all the craze and challenges she faces now, out of all the issues she is forced to cope with, the one she finds herself failing to overcome is the loss of her dear friend. She misses Nevra more than she is brave enough to admit.

He would have stayed there. Waiting for Ewelein. Waiting for her.
There, staring insistently at the infirmary door until he knew Erika's condition.
Not even going to say "I told you so" to Lance and Huang Hua would get him out of there. That Erika couldn't go on the mission. That she wasn't well.
And it wasn't just that she hadn't forgiven him yet or that she hadn't yet talked about what had happened on the beach.
But because he no longer wanted Erika to be unsafe. Because he wanted her to be where he could see her.But that was something Nevra had yet to understand.

It had not been long since Leiftan’s confession, a few days at most. Erika could still clearly picture the exact moment. The shock that had spread across Miiko and the Guard leaders’ faces had quickly resolved itself into anger, harsh words being exchanged. Erika didn’t blame them. She imagined she herself would have reacted much the same way, if she hadn’t known.
But she did know. She’d known Leiftan’s secret for a while now, and still she had kept it, despite the feeling of her heart shattering with every secretive smile shared, every stolen kiss behind closed doors. Through all the pain, she had come to accept that there were only two ways this insane love could end; the Oracle’s death, and subsequently hers and all of Eldarya’s, or Leiftan’s death.

Les autres faeries crurent, à tort, qu’ils descendaient des dragons et que, tant qu’ils vivraient, le Sacrifice Bleu ne serait pas complet. A l’instar des daemons, ils furent traqués et massacrés pendant des siècles et aujourd’hui, seule une petite poignée d’individus subsiste encore, vivant cachés, la peur au ventre de tomber entre les mains de mercenaires ou de marchands d’esclaves.
