Summary
Like everything in Emet-Selch’s life, this was all Azem’s fault.
He should have known better. He very much should have known better. When Azem had returned from their latest travels, bursting into his office in a scattering of glitter and scraps of paper, and dropped a gameboard on his desk, he should have fled then and there and never looked back.

Summary
“Pardon me, Hyth, it has two what now?”
Hythlodaeus lowered the paper he had been reading from and glanced up. “Two claspers for reproduction,” he reiterated. Then, with a sly smile, “To wit, two penises.”
(For once, a shark concept inspires Hythlodaeus.)

Summary
Theia waved their hand and a fist-sized ball of light appeared, bringing with it a warm and bright illumination. They looked down at the spread of Hythlodaeus' work with an inquisitive sparkle in their lilac eyes.
“What’s this?” they asked. “Is this the new piece that you've been working on?”
“So you’ve heard it. And here I thought my soundproof spell was working.”
(Or, "The Warrior of Light hears a melody within the depths of the dream Amaurot. The story of its origin dwells deep in her heart, teasing the edges of memory...")

Summary
It was all by chance, really, that he ended up in a class with two of the brightest souls he had ever seen. The first that stood out was orange and resonated like loud upbeat orchestral sounds, blinding like the sun if he looked too closely, difficult to perceive and impossible to resist. The other was purple and inviting and dark and dangerous, a solo flute playing in a minor key, luring him in like a shipwreck, or a deep well, or a graveyard. Just as he was drawn to these two supernovas, Hythlodaeus found to his surprise that they were equally drawn to him.
Or, 5 times that people told Hythlodaeus he was the best, and 1 time he said it himself.
