Summary
When Din is a kid being a 'man' or a 'woman' is something that happens to other people, older people. Adult people. Din's a kid. Still, they thought they might grow up to be a man one day, secretly and privately. People died and Din grew up to be a Mandalorian instead.
And Din's still a kid when their parents die. Their mother, their father. Din stresses the basic words in their head carefully. And there's nobody to encourage Din to grow into a man or a woman and they grow into a Mandalorian instead.

Din didn't expect the gorgeous blond in the park to want anything to do with them. They also didn't expect him to spend an hour playing the guitar and singing to their son. They certainly didn't expect him to have the nicest voice Din has ever heard.
As time goes on, Luke keeps playing for Grogu and Din. And he can't help wanting Luke to stay right there, beside him and Grogu, for as long as he's willing to be there.

Summary
Collectively they’ve probably heard it all before.
Being called a ‘rotten egg’ or a ‘bad meiloroon’ was the least of the insults that they’ve had thrown at them. Even Cal can tell stories of it. It’s akin to a sport, sometimes. Taking note and repeating back which derogatory highlight they’d learned that day.
