He strokes back a tuft of blood-caked hair from his face.
"I'll just need you to trust me."
Those words finally snap Takumi back to his senses. He meets Yugamu's eyes, searching them as he silently repeats what he'd just heard.
A 'proposition?' From him? His gut warns him that that can't possibly come without some ulterior motive attached, but Yugamu's face is difficult to read. It almost always is.
Nevertheless, he cautiously takes the bait.
[After a terrible accident beyond the school grounds, Takumi's offered a favor by Yugamu. Things get a bit out of hand.]

Summary
What started off as a self-indulgent series in which I just wanted to write Takumi and Nozomi having some fluffy moments together in the latter half of Route 0 has become so much more than I had originally anticipated. Now it is an entirely alternate route that takes place splitting off from day 72 of the canon "prologue" that is still currently ongoing with the end being nowhere in sight just yet.
You might be wondering how much things could possibly change given that there's less than 30 days left in this alternate Route 0. The answer: a LOT. As this series continues, I will do my best do every member of the cast justice, but I will be upfront in my confession that a certain pair of dorks (Hmmmm... I wonder who they could be?) have a special place in my heart and will likely be the spotlight of this series!

An after story to Ending #41, taking place from Day 100 onward. Explores the ramifications of the ending from a psychological character drama perspective, impacts on the setting, and dissecting the route's thematic undertones with additional nuance.
Spoils multiple routes. Definitely don't read if you haven't finished Cult of Takumi (obviously), Second Scenario, S.F. and its prerequisites. Planned to be a decent novella in length when all's said and done.
Regarding ship tags. It's a follow-up to CoT, so you should expect a little bit of everything but I've decided to specifically tag any pairings that get a decent amount of focus (usually a "reward time" scene). These may change as the fic is written, I haven't decided on all of them just yet. (All intimate scenes are FTB, for the record).

Somehow, it’s kind of insulting. It shouldn’t be– this is one of Yugamu’s personal favorites, after all. But there’s something offensive about being deemed less interesting than a movie this… mid. And god, he hates to call it mid– it feels sorta cruel when Yugamu is clearly obsessed with it. But this has to be the most uncreative romance flick he’s watched in a while. The one-liners are tired, the character tropes are overdone. How many times can a reluctant protagonist cave to the whims of a relentless love interest? Is there more than one plot line in this world? Apparently not.
In an ironic role-reversal, he finds himself becoming the voyeur, trying to interpret some hidden meaning behind Yugamu's reactions. It’s bewildering that he’s into this. There’s no sexual degeneracy or avante-garde slaughter. Not even any regular slaughter.
Just one milquetoast main character giving in to another, in a scenario that doesn’t make the stakes believable at all.

2. In Shouma’s absence, Tsubasa’s been sprayed with Parmith’s volley, swirling red in her eyes as she leans out of the window to launch her attack.
3. She’d never actually stopped preparing her missiles. She’d just changed direction.

Summary
Takumi does not enjoy partaking in violent acts, he's the type that would only do it when it's necessary to protect the ones he love.
He did what he had to do.
The person, the thing known as Eito Aotsuki would never give up otherwise, he knows this all too well. He's had a whole war's experience of those actions damning them all to nothing but a hollow victory and nothing but guilt to bring home. Eito had taken everything from him once, and then she did it again, even worse the second time somehow, soaking his own hands in blood with only the sounds of his own screaming and her own ever multiplying laughter in the wake of his, her, their slaughter. She almost took that infuser into his very own soul. But he died. And he came back again, somehow, without drinking Shion's power once more.
He did what he had to do. He did what he had to do.
