Summary
Dori has what is essentially a Dwarven restraining order on his father. Said father has a habit of disrespecting that, and Nori has always been the one to thwart him. Nothing has changed now that they're important, now that they're comfortable, now that they've reclaimed their home. So when he pieces together another (and hopefully final) plot by the scumbag he of course enlists Dwalin's aid in a variety of ways. It's a given now that he's finally back on the right side of the law, now that he can use both of their positions to his advantage.
What he doesn't account for is just how protective Dwalin gets over those he considers his own. Or, maybe it's just that he hasn't considered that Dwalin might include him in that group. Nori's shocked to see the guard enraged by the words of other dwarrow that aren't particularly new to him, but maybe it leads somewhere nice. Like a certain guards bed who is determined to prove both those dwarrow and his past words wrong. And isn't he just a spectacular sight on his knees, above him, below him, or really just any of the ways they're touching? Nori certainly isn't planning on complaining.

Balin nodded solemnly.
“You can't be serious. An escort? Balin.” An image of a well groomed, muscular man with slick hair making suggestive comments in a darkened restaurant came to his mind, and Thorin shuddered. What has his life come to?Thorin is in trouble. A simple lie snowballs, and six months later he is expected to bring his mystery man to the family Christmas. Unfortunately for Thorin, the aforementioned man doesn’t exist. Fortunately for Thorin, Balin has an idea. Enter Bilbo Baggins, illustrator, writer and occasional professional boyfriend. As the two men get to know each other and set up a ruse to save Thorin’s dignity, things get a little… complicated. As the past is drudged up, both Bilbo and Thorin reconsider their present and wonder about their future. A Christmas story about love, fear, family and coming to terms with the fact that sometimes it might just be worth it to give it another chance.

Bilbo Baggins did not go running out his door for want of an adventure, he went running out his door because of a terribly worded contract and a laughable quest that somehow held the spark of other.

Bella Baggins is hired to be the burglar for the Company of Thorin Oakenshield. Only, she doesn't know this; nobody bothered to tell her she was supposed to be hosting thirteen dwarves and a wizard for dinner, to explain exactly what her duties as burglar entails.
That would've been nice to know beforehand, thank you very much.
She's off on an adventure, to heal the land far to the East and over ranges and rivers that keeps calling out to her.
Without the dwarves.
Because nobody bothered to tell her anything.
Erebor may have been calling out for help, but she won't know what hit her.

Bilbo and Thorin courted during the quest, but after the Battle of the Five Armies, Thorin falls into a coma so to heal his injuries. Bilbo, assuming he’s dead – and that his nephews are dead – cuts the courting braid he had put in Thorin’s hair so he could save the line of Durin from extinction…
Thorin, meanwhile, wakes, finds his braid gone, and assumes that his transgression against Bilbo was too much to forgive. So he carves a child of his own…

Bilbo returned to the Shire to take care of his young nephew Frodo after Frodo's parents died. He left behind the one he loved and the family he cared for dearly, but a promise is a promise and a Baggins keeps their promises. Thankfully, Frodo loves his uncle just as much as he loves adventures, so if convincing Uncle Bilbo to take him to Erebor means that his uncle will smile again, that's a win-win situation for him!- Language:
