A canon divergent fic, in which Catra and Adora had grown up closer to Lonnie, Kyle and Rogelio. Leaving Catra less isolated after Adora’s defection and forging them into one of Horde’s most elite units. As a result, Catra doesn’t try to flee to the Crystal Castle and never ‘lets go’ of Adora. All whilst an increasingly desperate Shadow Weaver clings to power as Hordak’s right hand.

And instead he's hugging Glimmer.
In his defence, he really had intended to go and help with the signal, but then before he knew it, he was being tugged backwards as he collided with his best friend's soft form. In reality, their universe is ending and they really need to get on with things, not hug. But Bow has always had his own world and reality that Glimmer naturally takes the centre of, and right now she's trembling, and his priority instantly becomes making sure that she's okay. He wraps his arms around her almost instinctively. Bow doesn't say anything, he knows that Glimmer's about to speak any second.
"Bow" her voice is shaky "I love you. I love you"
Aka the fic nobody asked for where we get Bow's thoughts during Glimmer's love confession in the finale.

Glimmer took a deep breath and pulled the door open. "Oh my god, Adora?!" The pink haired woman cried out as one of her best friends all but fell through the entry as she had made to bang her fist against the door again. The blond lost her balance and stumbled forward, catching herself on a corner table, and nearly knocking over a potted plant.
The surprise visitor was hunched over and out of breath as Glimmer quickly shut and locked the door and hurried over to her side. Bow hobbled up with a crutch under one arm. His sprained ankle keeping him to the slowest of speeds. "Adora?" He questioned worriedly. "What are you doing here? I thought you and Catra were-" He choked on his words as his friend finally caught her breath and straightened up.
OR...
One friend is injured. One friend is missing. The world outside their door has gone crazy lately. Glimmer and Bow get the story of what happened when they spend the night indoors.
