Summary
After minutes passed, Dream was finished with the ramen as presented unto Karl were noodles drowned in tangy tawny broth and chopsticks displayed at the side.
The heady scent crammed into Karl’s lungs, releasing a powerful nostalgia throughout his body as a sigh of satisfaction escaped his mouth. The smell possessed him into a state of haze. God, he wanted to eat that ramen immediately. He didn’t care if it’s bland-looking or non-nutritious. He needed to shove it in his mouth as soon as possible because the fragrance was undeniably pleasing.
Karl would eat anything if it’s cooked by Dream, even if it’s as simple as a bowl of instant ramen.

“Karl.”The brunet draws his hand away immediately, eyes widening. He scoots away from the flower, looking around the room even though he knows he’ll see nothing. The voice was resounding inside of his own head, ringing in his mind like someone struck a gong. He was beginning to wonder if this place was a part of him—or more likely, if he was a part of this place.
The voice had stopped the moment he wasn’t touching the petals anymore. The wind whistles and howls from around the castle; the storm rages on ever harder. Maybe that’s what he’s been trying to find this entire time; perhaps there is no physical entity. Only the storm, only the power that fuels the storm; perhaps God is a hurricane, and he’s in the eye. He stands in the moments of peace before the world caves in. Maybe that’s what this place is meant to be.

Summary
On some level, Karl knew he was forgetting. He knew it in so many ways. From how his journal accounts that he trusted so dearly held tales of memory loss. From how Sapnap never smiled anymore, not really, and cried at night. From how the decorations of his own home, picture frames and little trinkets, felt meaningless and plain without a story behind them.
But the thing about forgetting is that once you have forgotten you don't realize there is a lack of anything. How could you notice the absence of wide smiles and laughter, if you don't even remember the feelings you felt from it? There was nothing to mourn, no recollection of loss.

Karl’s mental state is rapidly deteriorating, and it doesn’t get better. No one is having a good time.

I met him amongst the crowd, our eyes met almost as if we were searching for each other. Oh how I wish I looked away from those hazel amber eyes but how could I when he himself was so alluring. He approached me first with that confident stride of his. Things led to another and we were somehow walking store to store talking about anything that popped in our heads.
Before I could even register what had happened it was already time to part ways. How could I not notice the time? We said our goodbyes and I watched as he disappeared into a car and drove off. Crap! I have class in the morning. I hurried to my car and it wasn't until later did it dawn on me that I didn’t ask for his name.
