I’m going to try my damn hardest to finish these all within October but. I know myself. Don’t kill me if there is some delay at one point.
At no point in this series will I be apologizing for the length of a one-shot. I really doubted whether I should post these as stand alone one-shots because I felt guilty about the idea of posting very short one shots, but after some thinking it also sunk in that 31 one-shots is a lot and honestly, fuck it.

Later, he’ll blame his distraction but honestly, even before he opens his door and steps inside, he has a premonition. Later, they’ll ask how he could have missed the smell. How he still walked in and closed the door behind him without seeing, without knowing. He’ll say maybe his body was moving on autopilot and it won’t even be a lie. But that is later.
Whatever it is, by the time he consciously registers the scent, it’s already too late.
Nico’s head snaps up, eyes locking on Lewis and Lewis freezes. It makes sense now, what that intensity in Nico’s eyes was, what the edge to his scent meant, why he looked away.
“Lewis,” he says, like a drowning man tasting air again, like he’s seen the answer to a prayer, like the sun has come out after a storm. In a flash, he’s on his feet and no longer kneeling by Lewis’ bed.
Or: Lewis is 15 when he learns Nico is an omega. It changes little. It changes everything.
