Summary
Aurora is a WR400 Traci escort model android who escaped to Canada with the help of humans, before the peaceful revolution.
Canada has barred the further entry of all androids until the country can manage to codify laws and civil rights for them. Until then, the life of androids like her is one with little protections, scarce maintenance, and black market predators looking to sell them to the highest bidder or chop them up for parts. She isn’t even sure she can trust her fellow droids.
She’s free to leave and return to The States. Every day, the return looks more appealing: androids can get compensated for their work, government sponsored repairs, protections in a court of law. Except that doesn’t mean she won’t have to face “justice” if she returns, for what she did to the last man who touched her.
Scared and alone, Aurora braves the gritty streets of Toronto for survival. Until she’s invited to a ranch south of Vancouver, by a human named Malcolm.
