Since she was little, Steph Grant was forced to meet her mother's expectations. Her childhood and adolescence were hell, as her mother became more and more abusive; before the gaze of an indifferent father that was not at home because he was the joint chief of staff of the United States. Recognized as a prodigy from an early age, now 21 years old, she is in a spacecraft with people from the government, said they needed her, but Steph Grant did not imagine what was happening on that ship, now she will have to fight if she wants to survive and get out of that place.
Now, Shes-Kuk, a formidable warrior for his tribe, found himself on an expedition with his brothers hunting on a planet not previously explored by them; he expected to find creatures worthy to hunt, so he didn't expect to find a frail, bloodied human fighting for her life...
This story will see how the worlds of a Yautja warrior and a human crossed paths and touched borders and fortresses that they never thought they would cross, a struggle both for survival and to adapt to each other and along the way heal their internal and external wounds. -

This story is a part of my anthology series, Predator: The Dark Fire Chronicles. This Anthology will focus on things from the Yautja's perspectives; putting them in a protagonist role. The Yautja as a species are successful hunters, but we don't really see that in the films due to the need of a human protagonists taking the spotlight. This anthology is meant to show the Yautja's cunning as different individuals from the Lar'ja R'ka Clan (Dark Fire Clan) face some of the most dangerous prey throughout the universe.
