Summary
A giant pale snake stalked the forest, looking for prey. He was as mighty as he was deadly and everyone feared him. Even the humans.
While on the prowl, he came across an egg. A delicious looking chocobo egg in an abandoned nest.
Before he could eat it, a thought occurred to him. A hatchling with its crunchy bones and juicy meat would make a far more enjoyable meal than a measly egg.
So he settled to wait, coiling around the egg, waiting for it to hatch.
As the shell started to crack, he perked up, eager to feast. A mop of unruly feathers appeared, followed by a pair of clearest blue eyes he'd ever seen. They gazed at him in adoration and he couldn't look away.
Many had feared him, many had hated him, but he'd never seen such affection directed at him. What a fascinating creature this was! It would be a waste to kill it, he decided. No, he would keep it. He would make it his own.
It would be his pet.

In a bar in The Edge there is a corner booth. This corner booth is situated in such a way that if you sit in just the right spot you can see the whole bar, but not draw the attention of anyone. This suited Cloud Strife just fine.
Cloud likes to sit in the bar some evenings to get his own work done and keep an eye on Tifa. This particular night seems like any other until some idiot decides to flirt with Tifa.

Ma a te poco importava dato che quella era stata la tua scelta ed era stata rispettata, opzione non del tutto scontata perché in molti studenti si sono ritrovati ad accettare borse di studio per corsi che non gli appassionavano o minimamente interessavano, dato che solo uno sciocco rifiuterebbe un posto alla Shinra. E adesso, che non sei più un piccolo agnello del primo anno ma bensì una molto più navigata studentessa del secondo, ti ritrovi ad essere emozionata per il nuovo anno pronta a rincontrare i tuoi cari colleghi e scoprire cosa ha in serbo per te il tuo professore.

Another FF7 story - guess you can tell I recently played through Remake again and Rebirth and my mind is hooked on stuff. I may come back to this kind of story later on but there's the continuation coming later.
Entirely based on a series of Renders by @/LiquidSnack8 on Twitter / X.
Me and the artist ended up having a chat about a side story that we thought might have been going on and I wanted to expand it. I'm not doing this with any intention of profiting from their work, I'm simply basing the story around the idea the Render series they've done has inspired me.

Tifa Lockhart is surprised to find Cloud Strife at the sector 7 train station. She’s shocked to find him carrying a child and dragging a makeshift stretcher with a badly injured Soldier. But Zack had done his best for her hometown, Tifa could never refuse a child in trouble, and there's no way Tifa can do nothing when her childhood friend needs her help.
Cloud Strife thought his childhood friend and the girl he’d loved since childhood was dead. Not only is he happy to find she’s alive, she’s now helping him care for both Zack and Denzel and helping him build a life and a home for them.

Remake AU where Cloud and Tifa reunite at the train station but he's got Denzel and an unconscious Zack with him.
Zack is alive but just barely. Denzel got orphaned early. Cloud is confused but determined to be the best dad. -
