Summary
Rahu is a quiet, solitary vampire who has lived for decades without drinking human blood. She hides her identity and survives on animal blood, protecting a small town from monsters in secret.
One day, while hunting in the forest, Rahu discovers an injured woman named Shalom whose blood has an intoxicating scent unlike anything Rahu has ever experienced. After saving her, Rahu learns that Shalom is not a human and her blood has a dangerous effect called Resonance: once a vampire tastes it, no other blood will satisfy them.

A homage to the classic 1954 film "Seven Samurai" featuring: Tenshi from Touhou Project, Agnès from Bravely Default, Garrett from Thief the Dark Project, Rita from Honkai Impact 3rd, Violet Evergarden from light novel/anime of the same name, and two Samuels from Metal Gear Rising Revengance and Serious Sam games.
Their task-purpose? To defend DisCity-place from the Skaven, a race of funny evil ratmen that wouldn’t be out of place in a Saturday Morning Cartoon coming from the world of Mallus. What’s worse, they are bringing their A-game with multiple characters of legendary reputation from the infamous Grey Seer Thanquol to the dreaded Warlord Queek Headtaker.
What’s even worse, the Skaven are far from the only new blight the city will face, the calamity of which is certain to bring the end to the city, if not the world.
(This project is written so I can prove to myself that I can write a novel without getting sick from worldbuilder’s disease, as well as to disprove the notion of “evil races are boring”.) -

“Look into my eyes and tell me to leave.” The taller woman cut her off swiftly, still firmly holding her chin, “You won’t hear of this again.”
She looked up at her friend, her closest confidante, her protector, her knight, gazing at her so determinedly. Could she really let the other walk away like this? Would she let cowardice win and lose possibly her only chance of giving Rahu the answer she deserved? Shalom swallowed just a bit of her fear and came to a decision.
