Summary
In another life he'd love Scar, gather thanks at his feet for things he's done and kiss him with everything he has. Maybe they'd spend a night laying in silence, unspoken words of devotion clouded around them. Maybe Grian would catch Scar's stolen glances sent his way, or notice to rose hue of his cheeks. Maybe Grian's face would be painted the exact same way.
But those are fantasies that water down reality, and this is now.
So Grian creates a fist, fingers curled together and hand tense, and strikes Scar's jaw.
There's a crack.
It's sharp and quick and rings in his ears.
He does it again.
Crack.
And again.
Crack.
And again.
Crack.

Martyn kneeled down in front of the throne. He glanced up at his King, who had his legs crossed over one another.
“My king,” he bowed his head more down. “You called me?”
The king stood up from his throne, walking down the few steps to put a hand on Martyn’s shoulder. “Rise, me Hand. We shall go over our plans to defeat those foolish desert hippies.”
Martyn wanted it to end. And it did. Terribly.
