Edith Legrand é uma jovem que sempre teve a sensação de que havia nascido na época errada. Ao ser selecionada para um projeto experimental, ganha a chance de fazer uma viagem no tempo a seu critério. The problem was that, instead of just becoming a spectator, she ended up taking the place of the main character in that story—a promising Formula 1 driver named Gilles Villeneuve. Now, on top of adjusting to all those changes, such as a crumbling marriage and raising children, she also has to face the events of the turbulent 1982 season—the very one in which Villeneuve would tragically lose his life during the qualifying session for the Belgian Grand Prix.
The difference was that, unlike the Ferrari driver, she knew exactly what would happen in Zolder.
