STORY UPDATE IN PROGRESS! (10K/24K)
Hayashiko, a village hidden in plain sight, was home to hundreds of uniquely enhanced individuals, some native, others orphans who were taken in because of peculiarities that didn't fit in with the city folk.
Pankuro was a bit of both, having been born within the village, but lost his mother at birth, and looked nothing like the other native children.
The Halfbreed had been called everything under the sun, and for a short time, he felt alone and isolated until he met them: Saianya, his self-proclaimed little sister, and Turome, his best friend, who swore they were just associates.
"What a dishonest guy, as if I can't feel his innermost thoughts," Pankuro said to himself from his reclined spot on a tree branch, before chuckling with a shake of his head.
