Summary
Kyana dropped her backpack by her front door, locking the two locks on her door behind her before walking through her moldy apartment. She had no chairs, her mattress was still on the floor because she hadn’t made the money yet to buy one and then set up a bed. Her kitchen was the only part of her apartment with anything good in it, but everything there was freebies from friends and Finbar’s family. This place might suck, but it was way better than what she got while in the cult, so Kyana didn’t mind it and was perfectly fine to tolerate it.

This au is longnamed "Kyana gets a ged, goes to college, gets a long distance girlfriend, graduates and gets a job unrelated to her degree, gets a house and moves in with her girlfriend, and marries her girlfriend after an accidental mutual proposal au," in my mind. We'll see how far we get with that though. This au will be very fluffy and very happy. It also includes the rest of the crew besides Kyana going hating each other to caring about each other, alongside being playful rivals still.

“Violence isn’t the answer.” VR-LA added, making Dani slouch further in her chair. “Unless somebody refuses to change their behavior.” VR-LA continued, making Dani immediately bounce back up into sitting up straight.
“Wait, so she can if the guy messes up?” Finbar asked, receiving a loud cackle from Dani, something similar to a witch from a play. “I feel bad for whoever will have to clean that up.”
VR-LA responded with his usual, far too creepy and fake diplomatic smile, something that made Kyana immediately feel like something bad was about to happen, given the situations he normally uses it in. “I’m sure they can clean their office themselves before they leave.”
Dani was still cackling and Kyana was pretty sure she was seconds from choking on her own breath, so Kyana swiftly tried to change the topic.

The story largely plays in a Not For Profit Coffeeshop run by Finbar and Elyse, financed and owned by Hira, to give back to the city he lives in (as demanded by the citys administration).

The title comes from the OST of the VN Please be Happy, as i listened to its soundtrack while typing.

Would she even hear him? It was rhetorical, both the question that came from his mouth and the one from his mind. He needed no answer.
