This was heavily inspired by a bunch of SBI Humans are Space Orcs Au's which kinda all blended together in my mind. I'll do my best to credit my major inspirations when I remember/find them. Check out "Human Error" by "Teeth_Eater" if you like SBI, its the other major inspiration I could think of.

“I’m just gonna call her Fluff.” Finbar decided.“So you won’t get attached?” VR-LA teased. “How about Avitori? It means victory, maybe she’ll bring us some good luck with a name like that and her strength.”
“Don’t name her so seriously..” Finbar groaned. “We are just going to drop her off in a shelter in Sigil, remember?”
“Yes, of course, Finbar.” VR-LA agreed right away, his center eyes narrowed to show how he was smiling. They are going to get so attached.
“That name sucks. All of your names for her suck!” Dani complained.
“It’s better than ‘Starry’.” VR-LA shot back.

Summary
Kyana gathered Dani up in her arms, letting her press her hot forehead to her neck. Dani shivered and scooted impossibly closer. She didn’t know why she could handle being so near to Kyana when contact with anything else made her feel like she would burst into flames, but she was absolutely not going to complain.
“There you go,” Kyana whispered as Dani settled on her lap. “I’m gonna put this cloth on your neck,” she warned. “It’s a bit cold, so it’ll help bring your temperature down, alright?”
Dani hummed. She flinched a little as the fabric touched her skin, the difference in temperature jarring her. Steam and relief immediately began to lick up from the wet fabric, and she sighed.
Dani catches a blistering fever, but luckily, Kyana doesn’t mind the heat.

Kyana felt so confused, but panic surged through her as she realized the being had lifted her into the air, that they were suddenly high above the monastery. She clung to the claws that were holding her, desperate not to fall even if she didn’t like being closer to the terrifying being that had been threatening the priars.
Just as suddenly, Kyana heard a soft voice. “You’re safe and shall not fall, I will make sure of that.” Kyana almost didn’t process that it came from the scaled creature that was carrying her through the air, the voice was so much kinder than what had been aimed at the priars. “Try to stay calm, we’ll land very, very soon. We’ll talk then.”

Dani swallowed. “Nothing.”

She was just like this sometimes. Nothing had caused it. All the unproductive thoughts she could usually push aside had just decided today was the day everything would be excruciatingly hard. The only thing that made it pass quicker, was moving, working, being useful. It helped distract her from everything, the numbing static in her mind, the overwhelming feelings, the concerned stares she got that made her want to vomit.
“I’m just like this,” she muttered.It’s not easy to take care of yourself.

Dani slowly ran her fingers through Kyana’s hair, stopping at the ends to twirl them around her clever fingers. “You’re so pretty, it’s distracting,” she murmured and in one motion, captured Kyana’s lips with her own. She draped her arms over Kyana’s shoulders, moving close enough that she was practically on her lap.
Kyana smiled in spite of herself and tilted her head so Dani’s lips were against the corner of her mouth, preventing her from deepening the kiss. She breathed out a feather light puff of air across Dani’s face, enjoying her small shudder at the feel of it. “You’re so cute. But sweet talk won’t get you out of a nap.”

Kyana approached her and smoothed her hands over Dani’s shoulders before sliding them under her shirt, encouraging her to take it off. Dani did so without question, even if she wasn’t really sure where this was going. She winced a little as the movement forced her to raise her arms.
“Lay down,” Kyana told her, offering a hand to help her down. “I wanna rub your back.”Kyana gives Dani a back rub when she’s feeling sore.

We can have the guards gather there.." VR-LA suggested and his mother nodded, pulling him more tightly against her before letting him go.
"Yes, yes.. let's go. We have to instruct the guard." His mother breathed out. "I've already used my magic to contact Queen Mystra.. if anything happens, you are to escape until Queen Mystra comes, understood? I'll escape with you."

As soon as Dani was close enough, she stood on her toes so she could reach VR-LA and Vhas and hugged them. Vhas immediately hugged her back, but she could feel the other two hesitate in what was probably shock.
“I—“ Dani had to swallow, feeling stupid about how emotional she was being. “Thanks— all of you, for dealing with everything while I defused the bomb. It was insane. That was insane. You guys are amazing.”
