The naive girl applied to every hospital around but only one was desperate enough to take her. A run-down, severely understaffed mental institution for monsters, just beyond the human barrier that kept them separated. The pay was near nothing, the building? Unlivable. Still, Frisk would do her best to help them. The only real question now would be, who was going to help Frisk?

This is the definition of waking up and finding that elephant-sized ducks exist everywhere.A few times I encountered this fic and skipped it due to it being a self insert, I now want to slap my past self. Bloody hell, read this. Extreme rec 10/10 would share
This is my new favorite undertale fanfic, a mix of comedy, rationalism, and world building. It’s golden, like if you combined golden quiche and ebots wake and they had a child. Best characterization of undertale’s cast I’ve read, heck I’d say on the entire platform.
It goes off the rails while still following the path of cannon, little things up to something new. Highly recommend, repeating myself but the characters here are golden. The way they act, speak, and patterns, it’s perfect.
