Foolish's illness isn't improving. With his kingdom engaged in constant warfare and Princess Tina unprepared to assume the crown, Foolish is needed more than ever. Turning to the Blood God, he strikes a deal.
With restored health, all Foolish needs to do is defeat Team Rocket, vanquish Rusty Bones' adversaries, train Tina for the throne, prevent his people from instigating conflicts every few minutes, and uphold his pact with the Blood God. Should be easy...right?

He stumbles forward a bit before every survival instinct he has flips into overdrive —he pulls his hatchet high as he whirls around, aiming his weapon at the new threat that’s coming to hurt him or steal from him or kill him, and god he’s so fucked —
And he comes face to face with a kid.
Said kid is panting, eyes wide with fear, and staring at Wilbur’s axe with sharp, cautious eyes. His hands are raised in the universal position of surrender, and every so often he takes his eyes off Wilbur — Stupid, you never take your eyes off the threat — and glances behind him, almost like he’s waiting for something to come charging up from behind him.
Wilbur hasn’t seen another person in so long. He feels a little breathless.

Summary
Foolish was always their father’s favorite. Miyoung was their mother’s favorite. Tina… was not jealous. Jealousy was not fit for a princess, and it was no way to get them to care about her the same way they did her older siblings.
But it was hard, seeing them get to have days out of the castle while she stayed in, watching Q struggle to breathe and sleep through weeks of fever. It was hard to be alone, spending time training herself if she could and becoming friends with people who, no matter what, would always put her on a pedestal just because of who her family was.
She loved her family. Of course, Tina loved her family. Even if she wasn’t anyone’s favorite, Foolish and Miyoung always made time for her, and they would talk late at night and go out collecting supplies together after their father died.
It felt like such a terrible thing, to be glad that he was dead. Dead men had no favorites, after all, and Foolish seemed happier than ever now that he got to be the king.
Everyone loved him.
Tina was not jealous.
