Two time hated themself. They hated how they did nothing right, how nobody ever wanted to be near them. How they never did anything right, how they failed the one relationship they actually had a chance with.
And now, they just want to sleep, or atleast be forgiven in some way.
The Spawn, however, has a different use for them.
The Spawn was always painted as a deity who was loving, in reality, it was loving, but at the same time, it was cruel, unforgiving, and manipulative,
it had been looking for an angel, someone who it could call its offspring, but all of the people worthy would never accept the offering, claiming they were unworthy,
Until it finally finds someone who is willing to become its angel, and it convinces them that they must kill the others to be granted this, along with Azure’s revival (and Possible forgiveness!)
Only problem is that, they will never be human, ever again, all for the rest of eternity.-

A faint smile tugged on his lips, blood streaming down the corner of his mouth, “It’s okay,” Azure whispered, voice fragile, “I just… wish it didn’t hurt as much, knowing that it was you..”
Two Time sobbed, shaking their head, leaning closer, desperate to hold onto him. Azure’s fingers curled weakly onto their fingers, holding on with what little strength he had left. And then, in the breath that barely carried beyond the field of flowers.
”I love you… my nightshade. Take care of yourself, alright?”
His hand slipped away, limp and cold, leaving the world unbearably quiet. The night itself seemed to hold its breath. Two Time lowered their head, fingers trembling as they clasped together, pressing their palms tight. Kneeling in the stillness, they began to pray.

The fluorescent lights of the cabin flickered—humming quietly—like it was a mockery of the cultists emotions.
The dagger—stained with blood of their past lover, glinting against the harsh lighting—held in their hand. They stared at it. They stared at it like the blade itself had offended them personally.
Two Time was many things. And delusional was certainly one of them.
Many months after the incident, they had somehow managed to gaslight themselves into thinking ‘oh, Azure is definitely alive. I did not stab him, he just teleported.’ Yet. Coping like that brung concern to other survivors.

Two Time finally relents from their delusions, and realises that Azure probably hates them, and probably isn’t coming back.
