Summary
When seasoned FBI agent Bill Tench brings Holden Ford’s radical new theory to Dr. Wendy Carr, the last thing he expects is her unrestrained enthusiasm. Even less expected? Her insistence that the agents meet one of her brightest former students, a young criminology scholar whose research on 'series killers' mirrors their own untested methods.
Jane Woolfe has no idea why the FBI wants to buy her a drink, but a late-night meeting in a smokey bar soon proves this is no casual conversation. Between Ford’s restless curiosity and Tench’s quiet scrutiny, Jane finds herself caught between fascination and caution. As the drinks flow, talk of Richard Speck and David Berkowitz becomes a subtle dance of trust, intellect, and unspoken agendas.

Summary
At the heart of the main hall they were led into, and beneath the dome-shaped roof made of stained glass sat the victim’s body. Rather than a decomposed corpse, it was more of a centerpiece. A carefully-poised body with a blue-greenish tinge, illuminated by disjointed strands of sunlight escaping through the honeycomb roof of the Methodist church. Post-mortem clues denoting around twenty-four hours have passed.
Twenty-four hours since he’s been here.

Or: the case fic no one asked for. A minor canon divergence: the Behavioral Science Unit is well-established and is now extending official consulting services to help uncover deviant murderers throughout the country.

Summary
Janet Rebecca Tench(Mostly called Beck) is the Niece of the FBI Agent Bill Tench. She has been living with him, his wife and their adoptive son for 2 years since her (abusive)parents were killed.
She was always very interessted in Bill's work. She helps him keeping his office organiced so she often got a good look at all the stuff he is working on.
One day Nancy leaves Bill because he is "neglecting" his family so he moves out and Janet comes with him. Their bond gets stronger and she comes with him no matter where he has to go(for work).
Bills Partner, Holden Ford starts interviewing the Co-Ed killer and convinces Bill to come with him after the second interview. Janet stayed at the hotel.
One time it wasn't planned for them to stay longer than 3 days in California and they only booked the hotel room for these 3 days. They had to leave the hotel before 14:00 but they had an Interview with Kemper at 16:00 so Bill had no choice but take Janet with them. He really didn't want to but Beck was extremly excited to meet the Giant Killer. She was fascinated by serial killers and had read about him several times.
No one would have thought that Beck and Ed would get along so well. Maybe even to well. -

Here is Holden’s problem: He met ‘The One’ in both of his lives, and now he is stuck choosing between them. On one side his is a successful FBI agent with an amazing study going on. On the other he is a respected politician who influences people's lives all across the country. The choice between 1977 and 2018. The choice between marrying his girlfriend and keep seeing ‘The One’ on the side, because they could never be public, or a world where the entire country knows your private life, but at least he could wake up next to the love of his life every morning. Summary
“You make it sound personal. It’s our job. It’s important.” He spoke, making an extra effort to sound emotionally detached, even though he knew that he was lying through his teeth. Truth was that Holden had brought something into his life that had been missing for a long time. Both his ideas and his personality carried a fire and a passion that had set Bill’s still and dull life into motion again. In his 44 years of life, he couldn’t remember meeting someone like that or having his life thrown for a loop by a single individual. Not even his wife compared in that sense. And that was something he wasn’t willing to admit, he wasn’t willing to understand, and he wasn’t willing to let go either. It couldn’t get more personal than that.
