There are infinite realities, but let us examine two in particular. In one, the one in which "The Magnus Archives" resides, the fear apocalypse has begun. In the other, a young boy meets someone by the side of the road in the pouring rain. One trans man takes in another.
Jonah Magnus, Elias Bouchard, however you know him, is a villain, but he is also a man, and he is a tragedy just like the rest of The Magnus Archives. In this fic, we examine what "The Good Place" went into way more depth with, about the importance of love and support from our environment and the people around us.
Note: I'm currently on MAG 185 as I post this, but I have a good guess thanks to the internet about the ending. Wish me luck.

When Jon finally recognizes them, he stops dead. It can’t be—he looks between Martin and…an older Martin? Is this Martin’s…cousin? And who…who is the person next to him?
The thing about Jon is that he is not, actually, a skeptic. Not in the sense of refusing to believe in the supernatural. He is an academic and as such will subject any story claiming to have supernatural elements to the requisite rigor, namely, Occam’s Razor—pick the possibility that requires the fewest assumptions. Assuming a statement is completely accurate assumes the supernatural is real; therefore, he doubts them. Also, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. (There is…more to it than this. But he pushes those thoughts into a shadowy, cobwebbed corner of his brain.)
However, he can’t fathom this.
