Emma Morgan never wanted to be Inquisitor in the first place - she just fell into Thedas from an alternate universe and, with her new body having a fancy magic hand that was useful to the cause, found herself caught up in events. Still, she made some friends, saved the world, and even got herself a boyfriend out of it, so it wasn't all bad.
When she's summoned to the Exalted Council, however, she knows she’s in for a bad time. Having to justify every choice she’s made for the last three years sounds about as fun as getting hit with a bee grenade. The only consolation is that she gets to hang out with her old team for the duration.
Wishing for a way out of the council comes back to bite her when a dead Qunari turns up in the middle of proceedings, and somehow things manage to get even worse from there. Winding her way through the Crossroads, getting hit with revelation after revelation about the ancient elves, Emma finds herself wishing her mentor Solas was still around to bounce ideas off.
She’ll come to regret that wish, as well.
