Summary
Rion Akao has always been a strong, independent woman, but when she finds out she’s pregnant with Kei Uzuki, she’s overwhelmed by emotions she doesn’t know how to handle. The fear of being a first-time mother in the future makes it difficult for her to share the news with Kei. Despite being deeply in love with him, Rion can’t bring herself to admit she’s carrying their baby, fearing the unknowns of parenthood.
With her niece, Akira, and the help of the AL Kamar friends, Rion concocts a plan to keep the secret while also celebrating her pregnancy in the most memorable way. Kei’s birthday is approaching, and they decide to use the occasion to throw him a surprise birthday and baby shower—a dual celebration that will finally reveal the joy Rion has been hiding.

One sentence summary: 3 months after Shin has left, Uzuki — who sabotaged the Al-Kamar orphanage after Rion’s death — found him on the alley of Tokyo, and trained him as a human weapon against the JAA and Order (though Shin has a good relationship with people in the X organisation :)
List of warnings (some in the tags): Graphic depictions of violence, whump, may be cliche, written with chapter 205 in mind so default spoiler alert, includes OC and some OOC, enormous changes in plot due to Shin’s starkly different choices and I made lots of things up
I don’t plan to write sexual content because of the quite innocent relationship between Shin and other guys, but I may? (this is not a hook though

Instead of being taken under Sakamoto Taro’s wing, it is Uzuki Kei, who finds scrawny and hopeless Shin almost getting dragged back into Al-Kamar by JAA veterans.

Gaku made a small ‘oh’, but still didn’t look up from where he lay. Gozu leaned over from where he sat above them on his bunk, grinning widely.
“What about Gozu then!” He made a pointed look over at where the youngest was lying, ignoring the rest of them, “Gozu rolls off of the tongue better than Gaku, right, Kei?”
Uzuki didn’t answer, knowing the boy above him was simply trying to rile the youngest up.
