In Klei's 2024 Valentine's Short "Falling", we see the harrowing story of an unnamed Pig and unnamed Merm falling in a cave, falling in love, and then falling victim to a spider horde. After scouring the internet, I couldn't find a fic that has them survive and be happy together. So, I decided to be the change I wanted to see in this world. Enjoy, to the whopping 5 other people that wanted this story.
Actual Summary;
When Reuben, son of the Pig King, just needed some cow pies for the mud bath he and the rest of his kind were taking - he hadn't expected the neighboring Beefalo to be in mating season. Nor did he expect them to chase him as long as they did. Neither did he expect to be shoved in some spider den hole with a merm girl.
But most of all, he didn't expect to find the love of his life. And worst of all, what's he going to tell everyone back home?

His mouth wasn’t moving—he touched his lips to double check and felt the warmth of blood—but there was very obviously someone in his head talking to him. He was very obviously talking to himself? Summary
This is a series of WXson stories that are all in the same continuity. They take place in a canon-divergent AU where it's just Wilson and WX-78 in the DST version of the Constant. I could make up lore reasons as to why it's just the two of them, but the honest reason is that these stories originated from my partner and I playing together on a server by ourselves.

Summary
A couple of bad days filled with nothing but rain and dwindling sanity, Wilson makes a mistake and accidentally blows up a part of the camp.
After a series of unfortunate decisions afterwards, he finds himself lost and far away from the other survivers. Now he has to survive on his own again, and try and make his way back home.
Meanwhile everyone else searches for their wayward scientist, and one WX-78 comes to the realization that maybe they do have feelings after all.
