Summary
The Wraith of Crime Alley was barely more than a legend to anyone outside of the Alley's streets. Nobody knew who he was, but every non-criminal trusted him. He brought down drug rings and trafficking rings, and he guided street kids to safe shelters. He brought down the crime rates to nearly zilch. Filthy cops were fired and children were safer.
So when he died, Crime Alley grieved.

Red Robin died a small death. He had completed his missions, Bruce Wayne was back from the time stream. Bruce could go back to his family and Gotham could have its Batman back. He'd done everything he was meant to.
When he died, Gotham didn't even know it. He'd been gone for so long, they'd forgotten him. Forgotten everything he'd done for them.
But the Birds of the horrible city, they grieved.

Tim and Jackie were finally home in Gotham, with Kon at their side. There were a lot of people to reconnect with but Tim was also determined to find Bruce. As much research as possible was done but eventually, Tim had to go in person. But it would be okay, he had people just waiting for him to call for help.
Clark barely heard what might have been a call of his name but all he found was blood in the sand. Tim was gone, though he'd managed to drop the last of his research. Once again, the search for Tim was on but this time it was far more urgent. They could not leave him in the hands of Ra's al Ghul.

"Pretender..." And Jason's right about Tim being a pretender. He was, after all, pretending to be "Tim", a made up personality created by Timothy just to distract himself from the negligence of his biological parents.
But nobody needs to know that, nobody needs to know that Tim is going to fade right after Jason and Bruce are about to have a stable connection again.
And nobody has to know that "Tim" will have to be discarded and Timothy will reappear once more. Now pretending that him being Robin didn't happen, the bruises and scars were just childhood accidents, and trauma lingers at the very back of his mind.
Out of sight, out of mind.
Or Timothy just really loves to act and made "Tim" but got so into it so when Jason and Damian came into his life, he remembered the little "act" he made many years ago and started to "fade" slowly to the background and leave the Batfam before they knew what's up.

His body was being torn apart and put back together, his skin bubbling and tearing even as it stretched shut again and again. He was drowning but he couldn’t die. Blackness tried to encase his eyes, his mind, only to turn green.
But even as his soul was shredded, burned away and reformed, one thought remained, stark against the glowing green nothingness threatening to overwhelm him.
He would take down Ra’s and his assassins, burn the whole thing to the ground, even if it was the last thing he did.

Summary
Dysphoria - A state of unease or generalized dissatisfaction with life.
Death was nothing new to those who lived in the cesspit known as Gotham. Tim was well acquainted with the look and feel of death. The taste of it even. If he thought back to his childhood, if you could even call it that, he could recall the first time he ever witnessed death take hold of a life. He was lucky that it wasn't human, as most deaths in the violent city tended to be. No, it was a small creature he had found one dark and gloomy morning, laid out upon the Drake manor's doorstep. Its fragile, hollow bones broken and positioned in an unnatural way as a testament to the thing's last moments. A robin.
Tim felt very much like that robin at this moment in time, his bones broken and hollow. The wet and spongey ground of the cemetery against his back was the only thing supporting him as he bled out, staring up at the polluted sky. He could feel it. The lull of death trying to pull him under as the earth soaked up the blood pooling from his chest. He let out a hoarse chuckle, thoughts musing on his predicament. Gotham was drinking his blood like it was a due sacrifice... and wasn't that fitting.
All Tim ever did was sacrifice.

When Tim stumbles across a plot by the Joker to kidnap and murder Jason Todd aka Robin II, he decides to drop off a packet of information on Bruce Wayne’s front porch signed Black Bird. Jason Todd doesn’t die, Tim Drake never becomes Robin and life moves on.
Now in college and in charge of the company his parents left behind, Tim deals in information under the pseudonym Black Bird. Of course, no one but Cass, his adopted sister in all ways except legally, knows this but that’s an argument for another night.
When a territory dispute gone wrong leads to Tim being shot, an activated beacon summons Superboy to the bleeding semi-vigilante.
Kon-El along with rest of the Bat Clan have many questions but the most important are just who is Black Bird, and why is Tim Drake bleeding out in the Bat Cave?
