Kaina never had much faith in her father, but this was probably the biggest stunt he'd ever pulled, and she fell for it completely. Now stuck alone in a new place, she must work to build up her workshop and find the home that she has always been looking for. Meeting the familiar cast of unique characters, falling in - and out - of love, with the drama following the main events (and some added/altered ones!) how will things turn out this time around?
All talk aside, this is my dumb*ss brain writing a story through the perspective of my character on one of my playthroughs. I loved the potential and where my daydreaming went, so this is the consequence of that.
It might take a second to set up, this is the first Fanfic I've ever written, and my skills are a bit rusty. But I promise fun times ahead!-

She is sent off to Portia to work at his old workshop, her depression and anxiety left to fester in the decrepit house she’s forced to live in. Now that she’s away from the controlling nature of her family, will she be able to take her life back?

Most of people without a doubt would aim for bigger catch from their works. As long as the payment was handsome, they would put all efforts to achieve the goals. Moved out to Portia wasn’t a bad idea. Living on new land for a guarantee of fattening his wallet was one of lucky chance, not to mention a sudden revelation of a free accommodation which was inherited by the man who he thought had vanished into thin air years ago. Well, beggar can’t be choosers anyway. All he had to pursue was every way to increase his fortune even if he had to toss away his pride.

Raised in an orphanage in Vega 5, Mint had always desired to know more about his birth, his parents, and most importantly -- how he ended up alone. Despite searching his whole life, the answers never even seemed close and he had long since resigned himself to never knowing more.
He threw himself into his work, traveling across the Free Cities as an engineer until the Mayor of Portia tasked him with building a connection between his small town and and neighboring Sandrock. Glad to help out his old friend, Mint arrived in Portia to find not only love, but a mysterious photograph that could finally lead to the answers he'd always longed to uncover.
