He speaks quickly repeating the prayer twice more, before standing groaning as his wounds crack more.

Standing on top of that tower, with no reason to keep going, Tommy jumped. He jumped and he lived. Instead of running to Technos he runs away, past the server borders and to 2b2t. That’s where he lives for 2 years. For 2 years he’s his own person, learning and growing into something more. News comes, somehow news manages to travel that the Dream SMP has become a hermit server, closing their borders with Dream as king of it all.
Tommy can’t let that happen. He returns with a vengeance. He returns, unrecognizable, with his only goal being to free the server of his childhood.

Tommy is the lighthearted kid, the child they all yell at only in playful banter, who they try to shield from the grown up conversations until they realise they don’t need to. Because Tommy laughs. In the face of tnt pranks, conversations of sovereignty, a battle of who can get the dog to take their treat over someone else’s, explosive elections and drug empires born from a madman’s dream in a caravan; Tommy laughs.The dream smp think it’s because he doesn’t understand. Tommy knows it’s because he understands so much more.
Having grown up in 2b2t, the most lawless and cruel land there is, the shenanigans and wars of not even 50 people will always bring some level of amusement.
But when Dream starts crossing lines no sane person would, Tommy stops laughing. Instead, he starts plotting.

The end of a Set always has a few things that come with it; half of the fighters leave for a couple of months, new fighters apply to join, and there's a whole bunch of work to get done to make sure everything goes smoothly as they get ready to start the next one.
Not all of the time is taken up with paperwork or new fighter sign-ups, though it's not like Tommy really had anything else to do.
But there's something he's been neglecting to address, and it was obvious he was going to have to do something about that when he properly recognized a name on the newbie list for the first time since becoming champion.

If there's one thing you learned coming from a background like Tommy's it's that suicide isn't really a craving for death. It's the desire for release, for freedom, for escape. He knew that, logically he knew that, but it didn't quite matter when he stood at the top of that pillar staring down at Logstedshire's remains. Death wasn't usually the answer, but this situation felt so permanent in a way that made it feels like the only answer. So he stepped off. And he fell. Down, and down, and a lot farther down than his pillar was supposed to be.
Tommy was far from the first to have thought this way. Far from the first to accidentally glitch himself onto another server. He might have a little more fight in him though than most cases. When he lands in the ocean and not the sand, he finds himself surrounded not by the people he wants but perhaps the support system he needs. Whether he knows it or not.
