Before L'manburg, before the war, before the revolution, and before the betrayals and TNT...there was once a band of brothers...Wilbur, Techno, and Tommy, often supervised by their adoptive father Philza...life although not perfect and certainly not peaceful was nice. Because they had each other rather than standing against one another.
P.S. this is something I'm writing because I've recently watched some Dream SMP and love the Sleepy Bois lore. So I'm making my own story about it...it's also for fun and to to help me improve my skill

With Fundy in his arms, they take the final step out of the borders of the smp. He summons his communicator and presses the shut-down mechanism.
The screen flashes a bright white before fading into a dull gray. No buzzing. No Pings.
He smiles at the silence, nudging hetta to continue through the sunflower field.
Just as multiple notifications rang out.
Tubbo went off with a bang due to a firework fired from [Subscribe to Technoblade] by Technoblade
Or, Tommy runs away, taking his kid nephew with him once he realizes that Wilbur is far too deep to be saved. He isn't there when his best friend gets murdered or when his father swoops down and kills his brother.
This story plays between the time before Manberg Festival and L'manbergs/Wilbur's downfall

Tommy didn’t know what he thought the afterlife was going to be like, hell he didn’t even know if it was a real thing. Maybe he’d see Wilbur, possibly Schlatt, but he didn’t expect to see a white castle and Karl.
Or where Tommy looses his final life to Dream in the prison only to be teleported back in time.
OR where Tommy is given a second chance and isn't going to blow it, not even if things start to get revealed (things that change everything) and discoveries are made.

Summary
One of the rarer event types at the Arena, but definately the most popular: The Gauntlet. A hoard of competitors versus one vet, to see who comes out on top.
Tons of fighters compete, and sometimes the fodder even manages to win.
Great to watch, even better to compete in, but a real pain in the ass to set up. Didn't help that they'd decided to host it last minute, but Tommy was blaming Ref for that (even though they'd both come up with the idea).
Point being, they were usually fun. What wasn't fun was the fact that his brother wanted to talk to him about something, and he would rather do anything but. Work was a good excuse for that, but how long can that realistically work?

There he meets his mentor, Wilbur. Together they investigate a serial killer that has plagued their quiet town for months. “Nowhere to run now, huh?” One of them sneered, taking a step closer.
Tubbo glanced over his shoulder as his heels scraped the ledge, small pieces of obsidian crumbling at his feet. He held his hands up in surrender, “Surely we can make a deal, or something?” He said nervously.
“Sorry, kid. That’s not how things work around here.” He snarled.
Tubbo’s eyes darted between the two players. The air was tense, and each waited for the other to make a move. The screech of a Ghast broke the heated silence, and his two pursuers flinched hard, eyes darting in the direction of the sound only for a millisecond. But the damage was done, and Tubbo took his chance. His hand flew towards the pocket of his inventory, and he flung out an end crystal onto the obsidian directly in front of him. They both let out surprised shouts, reeling backwards, but it was too late. Tubbo pulled out his dagger in the blink of an eye, and without a second thought, blindly slashed the crystal in front of him.
