    Summary

The boy’s feet had started to bruise at this point. The prickly sand mercilessly shaving his dead skin away, making room for a new. The rustling wind swept through his hair. The boy’s chiton, disheveled and wrinkly from tossing and turning in bed all night.

    One more step

It was almost peaceful. The rocky shores, the gentle waves, the ants that seemed to crawl upon his feet to rest and take. It was gentle–dangerous–in a way.

    One more step

The voice seemed to show no malice. A calm, tone. Like a mother’s.

    One more step

“Mama..?” The boy seemed to snap out of the trance.

    One more step, boy.

    Summary

There was anger burning deep inside Telemachus.
He acted up. He didn't want to. He didn't enjoy starting arguments for no reason. He didn't like seeing his mother be so hurt because of him, yet he couldn't stop. He always accused her of things. He always started something. Anything to get attention from her, yet his little episodes made her even more distant from him. The more he pushed her away, the more he felt hopeless.
He wished to stop, he really did. Every argument made his heart break a little more. Though anger was the only way he knew how to deal with his trauma, with the absence of both his present mother and a nonpresent father. He knew his mother wished for him to stop also, to suddenly become a good kid, yet they both very well knew deep down that it was all hopeless wishes. This could all have been prevented if Penelope was actually there for Telemachus, yet she preferred to grieve in her little room alone, drowning in her self pity.
He prayed and cried every single night that his father is alive, and clung to every hope and sign he might actually return.

    Summary

"Do you even know why he named his boy Telemachus?" he demanded, his voice cracking, raw with grief, edged with fury. "Do you know why he chose that name?" His hands shook at his sides, his entire body trembling. "He named him so because it means ‘far from battle.’" His voice rose, raw and ragged. "for he wished his son to be far, far from this accursed war, from blood and bronze and death!"

Silence pressed heavy against the tent.

Diomedes took a staggering breath, his chest rising and falling as though each inhale was a battle in itself. "And now you would have him brought here?" he whispered. "To war? To these accursed shores?"

AUTHOR NOTE: much of the beginning dialogue and scenery is adapted from the song "Odysseus" from EPIC the Musical! I do not take credit as it is not my original idea until the break in scene after Odysseus has slain Melanthius!

    Summary

"You planned to rape my wife!" Hope was violent, yes, but it was often accompanied by other feelings.

    Joy. Spite. Agony.

This time? Hearing that? That his years of starting fights, taking their touch? Was almost for nothing?

Pure rage filled him. A voice in his head shouted at him.

    A voice that was new.

It carried centuries of anger. Hate. Violence.

He found his body filled with strength as mind and bloodthirst joined forces.

When he blinked, for a second the world was bathed in red. He felt like he was almost in quick thought. It was there, but it was joined by something much more thirsty for battle.

    WAR.

Or: What if the song Odysseus went differently? What if Telemachus reacted to the suitors about to rape his mom? What if a certain god fueled his rage? What if he snapped?

Primordial night beyond fate invokes the universe for a new tale- Nyx nudges the thread of destiny ever so slightly- the simple flap of a butterfly's wings, a single current in the ocean changed; fate cascades into a new chaotic possibility, and as fated heroes are denied destiny, Athena alone must vouch for the wayward man- and Telemachus alone must grapple with a kingdom whose fated safety has crumbled.

But what is the queen to do? Between a man she loves yet can't save, or a boy she still holds dear- she must make a choice; and steadfast penelope does not falter.

    Summary

Before the slaughter, he had watched his boy from the shadows of his own home, from behind the mask of a beggar, cloaked in silence.
Telemachus walked the palace Odysseus had built like it was a battlefield.
Not with a sword, no—not yet—but with the quiet watchfulness of a soldier expecting ambush at every turn. The boy's shoulders were too tense for his age, his gaze too practiced in disappointment. There was no sound of his boyish laughter in the halls, only measured steps, sharp silences, and the rot of overstayed guests.

    Summary

Odysseus was never meant to return early. Athena was never meant to defy Zeus. But she did. And for her disobedience, she paid the price. When Zeus casts her broken body at Odysseus's feet, demanding a cruel choice, the former hero must decide between the peace he earned and the goddess who once guided him home.

As the gods turn their backs on her, Telemachus steps forward. His bond with Athena has always been different, quieter, more personal. While Odysseus wrestles with guilt and distrust, Telemachus chooses care, loyalty, and something neither of them expected. In the fallout of Olympus’s judgment, that choice could change everything.

    Summary

As the sky cleared, the latest suitor arrived.
He did not laugh. Nor brag. He didn’t even drink. He sat near the wall since he arrived in the day, watching. Always watching.
Telemachus didn’t know his name. No one did. And from the looks of it, the man was a nobody.
The others joked about him, calling him “the ghost suitor,” “the mute,” “the madman.” But they gave him space, like a wolf among dogs.
But once nightfall came, everything changed.
