To find happiness alone is to close oneself within the ignorant views that loneliness equals joy.
Loneliness, in reality- is to trap yourself inside your mind to the point you can’t see anything beyond it.
And so, with the mind being able to conjure wondrous images and tales of grandiosity, it’s only fair one would supposedly feel happy once alone. It was that feeling that Airy sought within his solitude, at least according to Liam’s interpretation of the man. Unlike ONE’s host, however, the green backpack would succumb to the necessity of bonds that go beyond the one of his mind and body.
He would save them.
None would be left behind.

After the long and pain-ridden months of ONE, a game show made for the enjoyment of one man who died 10 years ago, the contestants having been pushed to their limits and are no longer playing the game. They await for the host to return with a new, meaningless challenge. Instead they are greeted by an old friend with unpleasant news, he may be able to get them back—but it will never undo the suffering that has taken place. As for the man who greeted them, he’s stuck. There’s no escape except death, and death can lead him to many places that isn’t his home. So why take the chance?

Summary
Fallback mainly follows Liam as he tries to find a way to free his friends from the Plane after his one informant died. It's up to him and the help of others to try and save as many of them as possible. In the meantime, he has to figure out how to reconcile with Airy, or if he should even give him a chance.
(This was written right after I saw ONE 18, which then spiraled into a two-month project made both for fun and for writing practice. Hope you enjoy! :D)

P.S. - I love Airy!!! He is my favorite character, with Liam being a close second. Also, I don't ship any of the characters, but I don't care if you do! EVERY SINGLE AU IN HERE IS WORTH YOUR TIME. It's difficult to find writers who are capable of writing Airy and making him show both simpaty and apathy without making him ooc (considering the fact that he is already very difficult to understand), but Edgy here has managed to make him a character with whom you can empatize, like and even care about.
