The round was quiet. Too quiet.
No screams. No wind. Just the weight of the fog, thick and endless, curling around the edges of Two Time’s mind like it always did. The others had scattered like always, running for their lives the moment the killer’s presence flooded the air. Two Time should’ve done the same. Should’ve moved. Should’ve looked for the next person to die for. But something kept them still. The air bent like reality had blinked. And then the voice came.
“You’ve gotten good at dying, haven’t you?”
Two Time froze. The voice wasn’t the killer’s. It was kind, soft, and painfully familiar. A voice that belonged to another life.
A voice that they thought they would never hear again.
"Azure...?"

Summary
A silence bloomed between them. Not awkward. Not tense. Just heavy. Familiar. Full of everything they hadn’t said, and everything they’d been trying not to say. Two Time’s fingers toyed with their necklace again.
"Do you think the Spawn watches us even here?"
Elliot shook his head. “I don’t care if it does.”
“You’re brave.”
“No,” he said, softer now. “I’m just tired of pretending I don’t care about you.”
Two Time’s hands stilled. They looked at him — really looked — and something inside them cracked.
“…You care about me?” they asked, almost not audible.
Elliot didn’t answer with words. There was no need.
He leaned in and kissed them.
It was slow. Hesitant. Almost like asking for permission halfway through. Two Time melted into it before they even realized what they were doing — their hand rose shakily to Elliot’s shoulder, fingers trembling, mind spinning in every direction at once. Something in their chest hurt, all twisted with guilt and fear and want, but for the first time in forever, they didn’t feel cold.
They felt alive.

- Intro Paragraph -
I woke up, my head pounding and body aching. My vision was blurry and I couldn’t make out any of my surroundings. I had a slight feeling of grief, but I couldn’t remember why. It slipped away as it was replaced by confusion and curiosity. How did I get here? And where was I before I got here? As my mind began to clear, and my vision settle, I made out my surroundings to be a wooden table, in a small, also wooden cabin lit by lantern lights.

Unfortunate, but the pain is still running through their arms, which is a blessing. Azure should kill them, that's his job, and yet he's worrying. His voice is still garbled to Two Time's ears, before it fades entirely as the round ends. They're the last to lift from the table, as normal, and it's far too easy to slip to their cabin, spinning their dagger. The wounds are gone, after all, and they need reapplication."
