Filian awoke in a bright café, the place suffused with golden morning light. A comfortable bench under her. A barista in an apron, placing a cup of coffee on a green mat. Outside, she saw wide city streets, no sign of gloom or radiation storms. Her heart fluttered with confusion.
“Hey,” the barista said gently. “You awake there?”
Fillian blinked, shook her head. “Sorry,” she murmured. “Just… a weird dream, I guess.”
She looked around. The café was cheerful, pastel colors on the walls, the smell of fresh pastries. On the table, an open bag of fruit snacks, mostly eaten, only the black ones left. She popped one into her mouth. Tasted sweet.
“Sounded like a rough dream,” the barista teased.

Miniko didn't feel like herself, but when two old friends of the previous Miniko had come to her. She realizes that she needs to do something.
Truthfully, there was more to Miniko now. She's different the others, stronger then others, and acts different then usual.
A Miniko who has experienced the worst of survival and the peak of it.
With that, Miniko smiled. "Then, I'll tell you what I remember so far." She inhaled deeply and began to speak, to explain how she ended up in this situation.
And it all started with preparing to go to Anime Impulse in Dallas.
