Two rival detectives agree to put their hostilities aside and work together, but the streets of Detroit are dark and unpredictable, and the case challenges them in ways they never expected.
UPDATE JAN 2024: this fic is under construction! Rereading this after 5 years I realized that I wasn't happy with my writing or where the plot was going so I'm reworking the whole thing.

Summary

He tracks down criminals, whether human or android, helping the DPD in city-wide enforcement efforts. The Detective Gavin Reed, while finding the vigilante known as Midnight intriguing, disapproves of his methods. Nevertheless, duty compels Gavin to pursue and apprehend him, despite the internal conflict stirred by his attraction to the enigmatic man.

His feet hit the warm wooden boards already bathed in sunlight. Stretching and groaning like a Peterbilt 389 spluttering to life, his back only pops once. Heaving himself off the mattress, he lets out a contented sigh. Connor moving in is more than agreeing with him.
