He gave Eddie one more look, up and down, mouth curling into a sneer as he huffed a laugh at something Eddie was sure he wouldn't find funny, and then he was gone.
Over two years, 1984-1986, Eddie realizes there's something between Billy and Steve (while he's hooking up with each of them) and resolves to get them together, out of the goodness of his heart. He just doesn't see himself getting tangled up in it along the way.
