The ghoul's side meets with sharp plaster, a hiss leaves him as he continues to run. He has no time to curse. There was no time to do anything but think about escaping their hunt. The click of Zephyr's cain comes back, leaking into his mind. Fuck, they're near now. How did they catch up? Was it Cowbell's doing? The thoughts non-stop as his eyes flick over the pathways. It sounds like the air ghoul is coming from the left.

Dew sat alone on his bed, head swarming in thoughts of regret and every possible scenario that would confirm he’d made a mistake. The room felt comparable to one of a hospital. Despite the large bed and bathroom, the space was left undecorated and far from anything that resembled his personality. Although he had moved in months ago, he was void of any motivation to decorate it, especially considering everything he owned from his last room reminded him so much of the life he’d chosen to leave. A decision he was now so unsure of.

Terzo is missing, and has been since the band returned from tour. After being dragged off stage at their last show, the ghouls have not seen or heard from their beloved Papa. Aether and Mountain have put in inquiry after inquiry with the Clergy, only to be turned away dismissively. Omega is beside himself. The ghouls are back at the Ministry, and the change can be felt with Terzo's absence. Yes, the man was arrogant, sometimes dangerously impulsive, but the abbey had been bright and full of music under his direction, being the hedonist that he was. Now, it is cold and dark. Siblings scurry along the corridors, heads down and shoulders hunched. The ghouls, where once recieved warmly, are now thrown fearful sideways glances, like the siblings know something that the pack doesn't.
It is the transition from fall to winter, the ghoul's elemental powers are lulling, as they tend to wax and wane with the change of the seasons. Mountain, Dew, and Aether huddle together most days for protection and comfort, feeling the changes in their pack and the absence of their Papa. They have each other, they can keep each other safe. But the Winter Solstice is coming. The longest night. -
