“I think I need some air,” he sheepishly chuckled, wiping the blood from his arm onto his shirt, gesturing to the mess on the floor like it was an insignificant accident, the occupational hazard of being at a bar, not a clear indication that something had gone horribly wrong. “Care to join me?”
“Uhm,” Mel said, “sure.”
But a voice behind her said at the same moment, “Nah.”
Mel’s head whipped around. Frank had a tight frown on his face, his arms were crossed against his chest, and he walked towards them, his eyes squarely on Cole.
Mel runs into an old patient from the VA while the PTMC crew is out at a bar celebrating Dana’s birthday. It’s a welcome distraction from Abby Langdon until he gets too drunk. Frank intervenes.

Summary
Eddie keeps his bottom lip between his teeth when Steve isn’t keeping his mouth busy with something else.
It’s pretty sexy, at least Steve likes to think so. He likes watching a moan start crawling up Eddie’s throat only for him to sink his canines into his lip hard enough to break skin.
But he also thinks he’ll like whatever noise Eddie might make even if his lip isn’t between his teeth all the time. He just likes hearing Eddie.
Eddie is quiet during sex.

Summary
Eddie squints into the bright sunlight flooding the kitchen. He’s eating a bowl of lucky charms that taste like chemicals and fake sugar and he’s not even sure he’s going to make it to the end of the first mouthful. The texture is grainy and artificially chewy and Eddie is sure he used to like these.
Steve, the guy in Eddie’s house, sits himself opposite with neat little piles of scrambled eggs and cut fruit on his plate. He looks at Eddie, gets up again, pulls the blind just far enough that Eddie’s eyes are shaded, and then comes back to his breakfast.
“Can I get you anything?”
“You can get the fuck out of my house,” Eddie replies. But there’s no bite. No meaning. No energy. No anything behind the words. He’s so fucking tired and so done with it all.
Steve carries on like Eddie hasn’t spoken, and eats his breakfast.

Summary
Steve makes a desperate noise in the back of his throat that has Eddie’s vision turn white for several moments, blood rushing heavily in his ears. And then he feels it against his hip. Steve is just as hard as he is, branding Eddie even through two layers of jeans.
“Steve,” Eddie gasps, because his mouth wants to test out his name when he’s allowed to feel like this. Hot and heavy and like he’s going to melt into his mattress.
“You touch me all the time, drag your fingers all over me, rub your cheek against me like a cat.” Steve’s words sound like an accusation, lips brushing against the shell of his ear. “And all of that just because you like how my sweaters feel to the touch?”
OR Eddie gets caught hugging Steve's sweater, and Steve's solution is to romance the hell out of Eddie in return.

It’s Christmas Eve 1986 and Eddie’s making bad decision after bad decision. He’s drunk, and he’s behind the wheel trying to find an open gas station, and he’s trying real hard not to crash his van even if he’s planned on ending it fifty times in the past week.
He should’ve called Wayne. He should’ve called anyone, really. Not that anyone would have answered this late on Christmas Eve.
Steve Harrington is the last person he expects to see at the gas station.

When he was first dragged through a portal from another world in his own ceiling, missing what was, conservatively, half his abdomen, Eddie figured this was about as bad is it was going to get.
Then he didn’t die, so it turns out there is always a chance for it to get worse.
When he woke bleary eyed and confused, Steve Harrington was there, next to his bed, just looking at him, lost and desperate. Eddie had no idea what to do about that, and so he did nothing but smile. Steve smiled back. Then as if he suddenly realised what was happening, ran out of the room shouting something Eddie did not understand. He went back to sleep and assumed it would make sense in the morning.
It did not make sense in the morning.

Eddie scoffs.
“We don’t have to,” he says, meeting Steve’s volume. His voice is barely a whisper, but it’s loud in the bathroom, echoing off the tile.
“We probably should, right?”
Eddie shrugs, and he shifts to lean against the side of the back, looking at him. The water sloshes quietly, and it somehow feels like the room shrinks, forcing the two of them into a little box, into this quiet intimacy that Steve doesn’t think he’s ever had before. His eyes sting, and he blinks the feeling away.
“…I missed you,” he whispers.

They heard his name followed by insults. His legacy being torn under the word ‘serial killer’, his only description being freak. Still, they bit their tongues and acted as if nothing had happened. As if the secret that he had been a hero didn’t threaten every second of the day to come out their throats.
As if the fact that Eddie Munson died wasn’t what it really was; A tragedy.
Eddie was better off without a town that thought him a murderer, anyways.
