It was a well-established fact of life to anyone who had met Sakusa Kiyoomi that he was a particular kind of man. He said what he meant, and held his tongue when his words would be wasted. He had the most meticulously ordered locker anyone from MSBY had ever seen. And, of course, cleanliness and hygiene were of the highest priority. Everything had a specific place in Kiyoomi’s well-structured life, and life for Sakusa Kiyoomi seemed to the outside observer to be one who put distinct parts of his life into distinct boxes: a box for family, a box for volleyball, a box for acquaintances or friends, a box for education, a box for romantic relationships…
Well, Miya Atsumu had screwed that all to hell.

Kiyoomi eyes him suspiciously, but when the act doesn't let up after a couple seconds, he stands and rolls his chair to the other side.
"Sit down, do you have an epi-pen, or do I need to—"
"Ahhh, gotcha!" Atsumu grins, pointing finger guns at Kiyoomi. "Look at ya, all ready to play nurse and dote on me! Ya secretly love m— ow! Fuck Omi!"-

Summary
That was the worst thing about Atsumu Miya that Sakusa had logged to date. Even against his preexisting list of offending traits, nothing else even came close. There was no way it was normal for one person’s faults to occupy his mind so goddamn much, and for so goddamn long, too, but here he was, and he utterly loathed it.
Whatever the case, after much deliberation, Sakusa had landed on this.
Atsumu Miya was tragically, objectively, extremely attractive.

Summary
It takes time to trust someone enough to completely let your guard down around them. Especially for someone who started building a wall years ago and keeps adding bricks each time somebody tries to climb it.
Atsumu somehow managed to slip through the cracks. He didn’t try to climb the wall, didn’t try to tear it down. He waited for Kiyoomi to build a door, and then he walked through it. Slowly, carefully, looking both sides before crossing the street, taking a step back when he had to.

He buries the majority of his face under his duvet and looks up at him, studying the shape of his face. “Do you remember in second year at nationals when you called me an asshole, and I said you were one too?”
“Yes?”
“Well, I think we were right. We’re both assholes, but… it’s kinda different when we’re with each other, don’t you think?”
He looks down at him, eyebrow raised, and he looks so soft in the warm lighting of his bedside lamp, looks just as warm as he feels. “Sleep on your side so you don’t choke on your vomit,” he says, ruining the moment.
“You suck.”
“Says you.”
In other words, Atsumu invites Sakusa to his family's home for their summer break and what follows is a combination of Miya Four antics, quiet moments, and changing feelings.

For a moment, Atsumu just stared at him, lips parting slightly like his brain had to buffer the information. “Is this flirting?”
“No.”
“That sounds like flirting,” Atsumu said, a grin tugging at the corner of his mouth. “Like—really sounds like flirting.”
“You’re just perfect,” Sakusa said, with the same flat finality he used when correcting someone’s grammar.
Atsumu blinked. “Okay, now I’m very confused about whether this is flirting or not.”

Hate was too strong of a word to describe how Kiyoomi felt about Miya Atsumu.
However, Kiyoomi did hate airports. When he has a breakdown and Atsumu is the one to help him through it, he starts to think that maybe - just maybe - the obnoxious blond menace isn't that bad.

Kiyoomi and Atsumu end up as regular hotel roommates and things slowly escalate from there.“Considering your lack of self-restraint,” Kiyoomi started, turning a page of his book, “it would be five seconds before you broke any of my rules to making out.”

Kiyoomi shrugged. He was a private person, but he wasn’t a puritan. “If it’s leaving any marks, I stop. If they are in a visible place, that means murder.”
“Easy. What else?”
“Right now, since my joints are quite tired, I’d prefer not to be on top. But it’s not like I would trust you to cage me in either.”

Kiyoomi clenches his eyes shut for half a second. Of course Miya is smirking wide when he opens them again.
This time even Akaashi doesn’t save him and Atsumu is let free to tease, “My, my, Sakusa, got a thing for my legs or somethin’?”
Sakusa scoffs, keeps his mouth sealed, too scared the “I’ve got a thing for you” will tumble out of his lips if he doesn’t.
